Journey

About Artist

Ryoko Chiba (Indigo) is a native of Sapporo, Japan.  After she took adult education watercolor classes in Charleson, SC in 2000, her dormant talent has awakened and begun to paint, exhibit and study art in earnest. She started it late in her life, but she has been artists many times in her past lives.  This time, her art has been her rediscovery of who she is and led her to opportunities in U.S. and abroad and awakening her spiritual path. Her journey continues as an artist and a spiritual student. She lives in Reno, NV and visit Mt. Shasta, CA for her resources of inspiration.

What is Mandala?

"Mandala" means a "circle" in Sanskrit language. Mandala symbolizes Unity and Harmony and is used as a tool to aid for meditation. Visually appealing geometric shapes and colors will clam mind in left brain and activate creative side in right brain. It is said that hanging a mandala in a room promotes flow of energy.

I use black papers made in Italy and use gel pens such as Uni-ball, POSCA, and other.  Draw a circle first and divide it and start seeing shapes and colors. I usually don't have a title because it may have its own energy or element.

What is Entura Art?

Entura means "Entering the aura" or "Entering the energy field".  It is a channeled art.  Ask a question and draw the answer on a blank paper with pastels. Please read more details on Entura Art from Delpi University.
